Virtual Tape Library Solutions

Virtual Tape Library Solutions

Virtual tape library (VTL) is a disk storage system, used with virtualization technology, normally used for backup and recovery. This system can emulate most tape drives and libraries, to significantly improve backup processes.

Backing up to disk allows faster backup and recovery speeds for organizations with difficulties, increasing due to the continuous decrease of the time windows for these operations.

The VTL service also offers the option to replicate their critical data "offsite" to our data center in a safe and resilient manner. This external replication element is cost effective and can be supplemented with disaster recovery solutions.

The benefits of VTL service blue chip:

  • Simple and flexible implementation.
  • Continuous and easy management.
  • Scalable to inevitable growth of data in the future.
  • Changing requirements reduced or zero for the existing backup models.
  • Emulates over 50 libraries and 30 tape drive formats.
  • Can emulate up to 128 virtual libraries, 1,024 virtual drives and 65,536 virtual tapes.
  • Optimized replication reduces WAN networking requirements by 90% or more.
  • Replicates data "offsite" instantly.
  • Encrypted at 256 bit AES for data transmissions.
  • Eliminates tape media transport costs.
  • Very fast recovery.
